- Open your Thunderbird email client >> Tools >> Account Setting
- Then click on Create Account under the Account option.
- Now Enter your Name, Gmail ID, and Password and click on the Continue button
- Choose IMAP and then click on the Manual Config button.
- In the Mail Account Setup window, enter the details as given below
- Incoming Server Hostname – imap.gmail.com
- SSL: SSL/TLS
- Port: 993
- Authentication: Normal Password
- Outgoing Server Hostname – smtp.gmail.com
- SSL: SSL/TLS
- Port: 465
- Authentication: Normal Password
- Username: Enter your email id
- After that, click on Create Account button.
These steps will add the Gmail account to the Thunderbird email client.
